Police say woman used fake names to sign up at gyms to rob lockers

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP)  An Albuquerque woman is facing charges after police say she used fake names to sign up at gyms around the city.

But authorities say Reyanon Duncan didn't want to get any cardio in but rather broke into lockers to steal car keys.

Police say the 30-year-old Duncan was arrested Sunday near a Planet Fitness in northern Albuquerque.

Albuquerque police spokesman Tanner Tixier says after she was detained an accomplice appeared and pointed a gun at a detective.

A criminal complaint says the detective picked up Duncan and used her as a shield before the getaway driver fled the scene.

Duncan is facing auto theft and forgery charges.

It was not known if she had an attorney.
