Deputies call middle school fire 'arson,' offer reward for tips

WHITE CENTER -- Detectives are investigating an arson after someone broke into Cascade Middle School and intentionally set two fires. The King County Sheriff’s Office says this is the second break in and fire at the school on the 11200 block of 10 Avenue SW in less than a month.

Right around one o’clock Thursday morning, deputies say someone tripped the school alarms. When investigators arrived, they found the small fires and several broken windows.

Deputies believe those responsible were still inside and ran out of the building as investigators searched the school.

A sign is now posted offering a reward for information that leads to an arrest.
