Boeing delivers 100th plane assembled in South Carolina

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Boeing has delivered the 100th airplane assembled at its Dreamliner plant in South Carolina.

The company announced the 787-8 was delivered to American Airlines on Tuesday. The plane was finished late last year and had been undergoing system checks and engine runs since.

The first Dreamliner manufactured in South Carolina rolled off the assembly line at Boeing's $750 million assembly plant in North Charleston almost four years ago.
