Bald eagle rescued after being stuck upside-down in tree for hours

BOTHELL, Wash. -- A bald eagle is now free as a bird after being stuck upside down in a tree for hours.

At about 10 a.m. Wednesday, Bothell residents living near 228th Street saw an eagle with its talons caught in some branches and called to get the bird some help.

Firefighters weren't initially sure they had the equipment to reach the trapped bird, but they eventually got a ladder long enough and managed to trim the branches and safely remove the eagle from the tree in the afternoon.
