Missing 27-year-old Sammamish man found dead in Beaver Lake

SAMMAMISH, Wash. -- A 27-year-old man Sammamish man who has been missing since Saturday night was found dead Thursday morning in Beaver Lake.

The body of William "Reed" Probus was turned over to the King County Medical Examiner's Office who will determine cause and manner of death.

Police received a call just before 10 a.m. Thursday and were told that a family member had found Probus under a dock near his house in Sammamish, King County sheriff's Sgt. Cindi West said. The sheriff's Marine/Dive Unit retrieved his body from under the dock.

Probus had returned to his parents' house in the Beaver Lake area Saturday after working overseas for three months, the Sheriff's Office had said earlier.  He disappeared from the house Sunday, the office said, but his wallet, phone, shoes and other personal belongings were still in his room.

Probus was reported to have been depressed, the sheriff's office said.
