Search teams find body near woods during search for missing Mountlake Terrace woman

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE, Wash. -- A search party looking for 54-year-old Cheryl DeBoer found the body of a woman in a culvert on Sunday afternoon.

Police have not identified the body as DeBoer's or said if foul play is suspected.

DeBoer was reported missing on February 8, after failing to meet a friend at the Mountlake Terrace Park and Ride to carpool to work.

She texted a friend saying she would catch the bus instead. That is the last anyone has seen or heard from her.

Investigators say there has been no activity on her cell phone or credit cards.

DeBoer's husband alerted police to her disappearance after a co-worker told him that she never showed up to work.

Her vehicle was recovered in Mountlake Terrace on Wednesday, on 58th Avenue SW.
