Seattle police looking for man in truck who tried to kidnap woman on street

SEATTLE – A woman said she was walking home last week when a man in a pickup tried to kidnap her.

The 29-year-old woman said she was walking home in the 1600 block of Bellevue Ave last Tuesday at 11:30 p.m.  and saw the man standing by  his truck. She said when she walked by, he grabbed her arms and told her to get in.

The woman screamed.

Some bystanders noticed what was happening, so the man jumped in the truck and took off.

Seattle police are asking for help finding a white man in his 40s who drives a dark blue 2000 Chevy Silverado extended cap truck with tinted window. He stands about 5-feet-9 with a medium build, was wearing a dark beanie or wool cap and might have been smoking a cigarette.
