Police: Man causing disturbance in a Starbucks cuts back of another man's neck as he's leaving

SEATTLE -- Police say a man cut the back of another man's neck Wednesday night in a Starbucks coffee house in Seattle's University District. The suspect was arrested.

Police said in a news release that the victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center with "a serious cut to the back of his neck."

Police said a man entered the coffee shop in the 4100 Block of University Way NE and began causing a disturbance, so he was asked to leave.  Prior to leaving the store, he struck a customer in the back of the neck, police said.

"It was only later that the victim realized he had been cut with some type of sharp object, cutting his neck," police said.

The suspect left the store, but several witnesses followed him and updated 911 with his location until officers were able to find him and take him into custody.
