Here's a tip: Don't park your car on a lake

LAKE GENEVA, Wis. – Fifteen people who parked their cars on an icy lake in Wisconsin spent much of Saturday asking themselves what the heck they were thinking, after the ice collapsed the cars all went in the drink.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports the cars were unoccupied and nobody was hurt, and that the owners were attending Lake Geneva’s annual Winterfest celebration.

By Saturday night, all but four cars had been pulled out – and some of the owners were even able to drive them out.

"I see a whole row down in front of the water, and I see my car way out there, and I'm like, 'Oh my gosh, I gotta get to my car,' so I ran to my car and by that time there was at least two rows of cars down in the water," Julie Rowe of Woodstock, Ill., told WKBW.
