Police: Two 13-year-old girls in West Seattle say 2 men tried to grab them on street

SEATTLE -- Police said Tuesday they have increased patrols in the Roxhill/South Delridge area of West Seattle after two 13-year-old girls were reportedly assaulted while walking home from school Monday night.

The victims told officers at the Southwest Precinct Monday that two men had tried to grab them near 22nd Avenue Southwest and Southwest Trenton Street. Police said the victims reported the men tried to force them into a nearby yard, and that both suspects were wearing hooded sweatshirts, which obscured their faces.

The victims fought the men off and ran home before before reporting the incident to police.

Officers searched the area but were unable to locate any suspects.
