Edmonds Community College issues alert after report of sexual assault near campus

LYNNWOOD, Wash. -- Edmonds Community College has issued an alert to its students and staff after Lynnwood police received a report of a sexual assault that took place Monday night at nearby Gold Park.

The bulletin said the attack took place at about 7 p.m. at the park, which is one block east of the Edmonds CC campus on 200th Street SW.

"The assailants are described as a group of four males, approximately 23-27 years of age. One is described as a dark skinned male wearing a red hoodie, a dark or black ball cap, and a large metallic rectangular belt buckle, approximately six feet tall with a muscular build. Two others are described as a light skinned male and a dark skinned male, with no other identifiers. There are no details on the fourth male," the bulletin said.

The victim told police that the four men pulled her into the park as she walked by.

"At this time, the victim is being cared for by counseling and healthcare personnel and has the full support of LPD and college resources," the college said.
