WGN America's 'Salem' casts Marilyn Manson as its 'go-to man'

A spooky new face is coming to WGN America's "Salem" Season 3 when Marilyn Manson pops up in a special guest-starring role, the network announced Thursday (Jan. 21).

Manson will play Thomas Dinley, a barber and surgeon who is "the go-to man in Salem, from a shave and a haircut to being leeched, bled, sliced open or sewn up."

"Salem's" third season continues in the re-imagining of the 17th-century witch trials as the witches plan "to remake the New World by bringing the devil to Earth and making Salem his capital." However, the devil's plan is to "bring nothing but death and slavery with the ultimate aim of leading humanity to destroy itself."

The only witch who can triumph over the devil is the one that gave birth to him, Mary Sibley (Janet Montgomery). Unfortunately, she's dead -- or is she?

"Salem" Season 3, co-starring Shane West, Seth Gabel, Ashley Madekwe, Tamzin Merchant, Elise Eberle, Iddo Goldberg, Joe Doyle and Oliver Bell, is in production now in Shreveport, La. and will premiere later this year.
