KENT, Wash. -- Crime scene investigators are at a Kent apartment complex where police say someone pulled a gun and shot a man.

Officers were called late Thursday to the apartments on 109th Ct SE, just a few blocks from Kent-Meridian High School.

Kent police say medics rushed the man to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he was listed in critical condition.

It's unclear if police are still searching for the shooter or if they have made any arrests.

Neighbors said they thought they heard fireworks because there were so many popping sounds.

It appeared that some stray bullets struck other cars in the complex parking lot.

No further information has been released.
