Lucky '12' hits the jackpot in Washington Lottery raffle for trip to playoff game

TUKWILA, Wash.  -- Hundreds of Seahawks fans flocked to the Southcenter Mall in Tukwila on Tuesday to try their luck in a Washington Lottery raffle to win a trip to see the Hawks take on the Vikings in Minneapolis for the playoffs.

Tukwila native My Nguyen said he spent $250 on the lottery tickets, but when he heard his name called, he still couldn't believe it.

"No, I didn’t think I was going to be able to win," Nguyen said. "This is great. I’m a huge fan, too."

Nguyen says he isn't worried about the forecast for the game. Officials predict that kickoff could be close to 0 degrees.

"I love the cold anyway," Nguyen joked.  "I might come with just a jersey on ... I don’t know. We’ll see."

Washington Lottery officials say they sold approximately 42,000 scratch tickets for Tuesday's raffle.

Officials say if the Seahawks win their Wild Card game Sunday, they expect to hold another raffle next Tuesday for the Seahawks game against the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte, N.C.
