Police identify one of two shotgun-toting robbers in violent crime spree

LACEY, WA. - Police have identified one of the two shotgun-toting robbers in a violent crime spree - spanning three counties.

Lacey police identified Siosaia Lausii V Fifita as one of the robbery suspect.  A press release Saturday night showed a photo of Fifita. Police reported that he is wanted for the armed robbery of a gas station in Lacey.  Fifita was in possession of a pistol grip pump action shotgun and should be considered armed and dangerous.  He is suspected in several additional similar robberies in other jurisdictions.

Police say they robbed five gas stations and a 7-11 early Friday morning,  all along the I-5 corridor.  They hit two gas stations in Lacey, as well as stations in Dupont, Fife, and Kent - and a 7-11 in Tukwila.

Police say they hit one clerk in the head with the butt of a shotgun - and shattered the glass counter of a gas station in another robbery.

Surveillance photos of the suspects show at least two of them, one black, and one white.

Detective Jonathan Mason of the Lacey Police Department says the suspects appear "highly agitated."

"We usually don't have a lot of armed robberies like this.  We're not sure who the suspects are yet because we haven't seen this before.  We really need the public's help - we don't want these robberies to escalate any further, and need to get these guys off the street," Mason said.

Officials say the suspects are dangerous - if you recognize them, call police immediately.
