Detectives: Bremerton man called 911, said ‘I just killed my grandfather’



BREMERTON, Wash. -- Kitsap County sheriff's deputies arrested a 21-year-old man after dispatchers received a call from him saying he had been drinking heavily and killed his grandfather.

Deputies were called just before 2 a.m. Tuesday to the 2000 block of Shamrock Rd NW.

Sheriff spokesperson Scott Wilson says they found an elderly man inside a bedroom of the home. The cause of death was not immediately determined, but it appeared to be violent.

The suspect surrendered to officers and was booked into the Kitsap County jail.

The names of the suspect and victim were not immediately released. The motive for the killing is unknown.
