Saturday weather roundup: snow in the Cascades, winds and rain

SNOQUALMIE PASS – You’ve heard this before: if you’re driving over Snoqualmie Pass or Stevens Pass Saturday, be prepared for winter driving conditions.  A winter storm warning is currently in effect in the Cascades until 10 am Sunday morning, the National Weather Service (NWS) reported.

At 4 pm Saturday it’s snowing at both Snoqualmie and Stevens; the snow level is hovering close to 3000 feet, with snow accumulations between one to two feet expected, the NWS reported.

Winds were ranging in the 20 – 30 mph range in the south and north sound currently.
