Serious injury crash shuts down Pacific Highway in Federal Way

FEDERAL WAY -- Authorities believe icy roads caused a crash that injured two people early Wednesday on Pacific Highway South.

Federal Way police said Pacific Highway South would remain closed at 372nd for several hours. It was expected to reopen by noon.

Officials said a car was driving southbound on Pacific Highway, lost control on the icy road, and crashed into two other vehicles.

The driver of the car that lost control, a man in his 50s, was seriously hurt and taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Another driver was also injured and was taken to Valley Medical Center.

No further details were immediately released.
