ROYAL CITY, Wash — A body, believed to be that of a missing hunter from North Bend, has been found, the Grant County Sheriff’s office reported.

Thomas Stieg’s  body was discovered around 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, near Crab Creek, west of Royal City, officials said.

Steig was reported missing by his family Saturday when he failed to return home from his one-day trip, or notify his family, officials said.

While the official cause of death has not been determined, it appears that the person fell.  There is no indication of foul play, the Sheriff’s office reported.

The body is now in the care of the Grant County Coroner’s  Office, pending an autopsy; Stieg’s family has been notified, officials said.
