SEATTLE, Wash.—A Seattle organization dedicated to helping Syrian refugees loaded boxes onto a container that will be sent to refugees in Jordan on Saturday.

The boxes contained everything from medical supplies to warm clothing and toys.

“This will help about 5,000 people, normally that we will get it distributed out to. We just had a container that arrived last week and that was a 20 foot container that went out to about 25-hundred people,” said Rita Zawaideh with the Salaam Cultural Museum.

Organizers said they are also helping Syrian refugees who are in Greece. They have sent out an urgent appeal for people to donate to their emergency fund.
