VIDEO: Bright fireball lights up skies over Bangkok

BANGKOK, Thailand -- A bright blueish-green fireball lit up the sky Monday over Thailand, according to videos and media reports.

The flash was seen in several parts of the country including Bangkok.

Dashcam videos, first posted by RT, show the dark sky turned bright for a few seconds as the fireball passes through.

The National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand told RT they believe the fireball was a small meteor that burned up in the atmosphere at a high altitude.
