Mukilteo gets $10M boost to build new ferry terminal

MUKILTEO, Wash. — U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen says the federal government will be sending $10 million to make improvements at the Mukilteo ferry terminal.

The improvements will include a new passenger terminal building, with pedestrian, bicycle and high-occupancy vehicle loading, better commuter rail connections and a bus transit center.

Larsen says the new terminal will help reduce congestion through Mukilteo an on State Route 525. The congressman has worked for more than 10 years with local, state and federal officials to transfer the property for the new project from the Air Force to the Port of Everett.
