Jury convicts man in Edmonds stabbing of pizza delivery driver

EDMONDS, Wash. (AP) — A jury has convicted a man of stabbing a Domino's Pizza delivery driver in western Washington in January.

Authorities believe the attack by Christopher Cowan was a case of random violence when the driver went to confront Cowan while he was prowling his car.

The driver survived the near fatal attack because he was able to make it back to the Domino's Pizza store quickly and get medical attention.

The jury returned guilty verdicts on three counts this week: attempted second degree murder, first degree assault and first degree robbery. Cowan is scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 20 in Snohomish County Superior Court.
