Police: 'Days of Ours Lives' star tried to punch bartender

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Police say an actor on the soap opera "Days of Our Lives" was arrested in suburban Phoenix after trying to punch a bartender at a hotel bar.

Scottsdale police spokesman Kevin Watts said Wednesday that 21-year-old Casey Moss is facing charges of assault, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

The hotel called police around 12:30 a.m. Monday, reporting an intoxicated Moss tried to hit a bartender for refusing to serve him more alcohol and shoved another person.

Police say he struggled with an officer, who took him down. Court records say Moss was released from jail Tuesday and is scheduled for arraignment Nov. 2.

The actor was in town with co-stars for a book signing celebrating the NBC show's 50th anniversary.

A spokeswoman for the show didn't immediately return a message seeking comment Wednesday.
