Make-A-Wish Foundation helps 6-year-old cancer patient's wish hit the big screen

SEATTLE -- A local 6-year-old girl's story hit the big screen this weekend thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Alexis is in remission after battling leukemia for more than two years. She wanted to share her journey to raise awareness and help other kids facing the same tough battle.

So Make-A-Wish teamed up with a production company called World Famous to help her make her own movie.

"She was really involved in a lot of the details," said Alan Nay, of World Famous. "And we had her approve the script of course."

"This wish has definitely helped Alexis throughout her treatment," said her mom and dad, Angela and John. "No matter how difficult the treatment gets, whenever we talk to Alexis about her wish coming true, it always brings a smile."

Alexis is now hoping to share the film with the entire world! You can watch it below.
