WALLA WALLA, Wash. (AP) — Staff, students and parents are mourning after a pickup truck struck and killed a Walla Walla High School drama teacher.

The school district reports that teacher Brian Senter was killed Saturday night.

The Walla Walla Sheriff’s Office is investigating, but the Tri-City Herald reports that the pickup’s driver remained at the scene and was cooperative at the scene.

Investigators said he showed no signs of drug or alcohol impairment and passed a breath test.

A student vigil was planned Sunday night.
