Authorities warn parents after attempted luring of 13-year-old girl in Seattle

SEATTLE -- Seattle police are warning parents about an attempted luring near a Beacon Hill school.

Officers say a 13-year-old girl told school officials a man in a black SUV approached her while she walked to school around 9:30 a.m. near Martin Luther King, Jr. Way S. and S. Orcas Street in Seattle, which is just a few block away from Dearborn Park Elementary School.

Police say the man drove off after she refused several times to get into the car.

The student described him as a skinny black male, around 30 years old. He was wearing a suit with a black tie at the time.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police non-emergency line at 206-625-5011.
