Police: Kirkland officer shoots, kills armed attempted carjacker

KIRKLAND, Wash. — A police officer shot and killed an attempted carjacker who was armed Thursday morning in Kirkland, officers said.

Around 9:45 a.m., police were called to report of a man with a gun in the 11500 block of NE 118th Street. Officers encountered an attempted carjacker in his 20’s, police said. The man was shot and killed by officers.

No officers were injured in the shooting.
