GLEN ELLYN, Ill. — Two students at an Illinois high school decided to create an elaborate video to ask two girls to be their homecoming dates.

The 6-minute video is set to “I Need a Hero” by Bonnie Tyler.

The boys lace up their white velcro sneakers, wear turtlenecks and short shorts in the silly 1980s-themed video.

There’s even a celebrity guest appearance — thanks to some editing.

WGN reports the hard work paid off, Claire and Emma said yes.
