Seattle detectives search for 3 suspects in overnight armed robbery spree

SEATTLE -- The search is on for three armed robbers Seattle police believe are behind an alarming overnight crime spree.

Police believe the same thieves hit four times -- first robbing a man and woman around 10:40 p.m. Sunday near E. Mercer Street and 16th Avenue E.

About two hours later, police say they struck twice on Beacon Hill, just minutes and blocks apart, before finally robbing a woman in a parking lot at 19th Ave S. and S. Main Street.

Investigators say all of the victims were threatened with guns, but nobody was hurt.

K9s assisted in the search, but none of the suspects were located.

Detectives say the three men are Hispanic, in their 20s, and covered their faces with sweatshirts or bandannas.
