Did Aaron Rodgers troll Russell Wilson after Seahawks' loss?

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has publicly said he doesn't think God cares too much about football. So why did he bring up God's involvement in Sunday's 27-17 win over the Seahawks?

An expert troll perhaps?

In Rodgers' post game comments, the quarterback thanked God for the apparent help in securing the victory.

"And then getting help from God," Rodgers said. "I think God was a Packers fan tonight, so he was taking care of us."

Rodgers appeared to be suppressing a smile while making the comments. Some in the media room even let out a little chuckle.

Remember, this is from the same quarterback who last year scoffed at Wilson's suggestion that God had something with the Seahawks comeback in the NFC Championship Game.

"I don't think God cares a whole lot about the outcome," Rodgers said in an ESPN interview after the loss. "He cares about the people involved, but I don't think he's a big football fan."

Other media outlets picked up on Rodgers' sass, with Deadspin publishing an article titled "Aaron Rodgers Makes Fun Of Russell Wilson By Crediting God For The Packers' Win."

"So either Rodgers has changed his mind on God's fandom in the last eight months, or this was a little Jab at Wilson, who must've felt like Job after the Super Bowl and isn't getting much divine intervention in Seattle's 0-2 start."

Whatever. Pay no heed, Russell. Rodgers' is just jealous of your back-to-back Super Bowl appearances.
