WSP trooper, another driver injured in south Everett crash

EVERETT, Wash. -- A Washington State Patrol trooper and another driver are recovering after a crash late Thursday night.

Officials say the patrol car and another car collided on SR 99 just north of Lincoln Way in south Everett.

WSP says the car was leaving a coffee stand when the trooper's patrol car crashed into it.

The trooper was found with serious injuries. He was taken to Providence Hospital in Everett for treatment.

The driver of the car who hit him, a 48-year-old Monroe man, was taken to Harborview Medical Center. Both are expected to recover.
