BREMERTON, Wash. -- Firefighters rescued four puppies from a house fire and provided them oxygen Tuesday afternoon in Bremerton.

According to Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue, crews were called around 3:45 p.m. to the 1200 block of Camp Sundown Road NW for the report of a house fire. The caller told dispatchers they did not think anyone was home, but that there may be puppies inside.

Smoke was pouring from the eaves when crews arrived. The fire was burning on the 1st and 2nd floor.
