Hood Canal Bridge reopens after more than 4-hour closure

KITSAP COUNTY — The Hood Canal bridge reopened at about 4:45 p.m. Wednesday after being closed for hours, the Washington State Patrol said.

Transportation officials tweeted about the bridge closure just after noon Wednesday. According to the Kitsap Sun, one of the anchor cables, which connect the bridge to the bottom of the canal, went slack during a bridge opening.
