Central Kitsap woman suspected in man's stabbing is found, taken into custody

PORT ORCHARD, Wash.  — A 21-year-old woman suspected in the stabbing for a Port Orchard man was found in a Suquamish casino Friday night and taken into custody, the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office said Monday.

The suspect was spotted inside the Clearwater Casino by someone who said she appeared to match the description of a woman wanted by the sheriff's office.

She was booked into the Kitsap County Jail on charges of robbery, first-degree robbery and second-degree assault. Bail was set at $200,000.

She is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday morning.

Deputies were called to a Port Orchard man's house at about 3:15 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22, and found him on his porch, bleeding. The 31-year-old man had a stab wound on his back and hand.

Officials say the man suffered critical injuries and was taken to Saint Joseph Hospital in Tacoma.

He told police that he arranged for a sexual "date" with the woman through the website Backpage.com. But when the transaction proved unsatisfactory for both parties, he demanded his money back and an argument escalated into a physical confrontation.
