Accused Tacoma burglar whose fingerprints lead to identity -- arrested in Oregon, brought back to Pierce County

CAPTURE UPDATE September 17, 2015 -- Joseph Bonomo was transferred from jail in Oregon to the Pierce County Jail on Wednesday. FUGITIVE CAPTURED September 9, 2015 -- A bail recovery agent caught Joseph Bonomo aka 'Miami' on Wednesday night. He was booked into the Marion County jail in Salem, Oregon and will be extradited back to Pierce County. Note the lighter colored hair in his arrest photo below. He was wanted by Tacoma Police for Residential Burglary and has convictions for assault, drug possession, and vehicle theft.

FUGITIVE WANTED IN TACOMA September 3, 2015 -- Joseph Bonomo, a.k.a. "Miami," is wanted by Tacoma Police for residential burglary. Officers found his fingerprint in-between the double pane glass on the interior surface of the outer pane on a window that was broken during a home burglary that identified Bonomo. They contacted the owner of the company that installed the window who told them the glass was manufactured in Spokane and Bonomo has never worked for them. Police say he was arrested in the same area as the burglary several times during the prior year. He has felony convictions for assault, narcotics possession, motor vehicle theft and probation violations. He is 5'8", 200 lbs.
