2 toddlers in serious condition after falling 30 feet out of a window

SEATTLE -- Two toddlers were in serious condition Thursday night after falling about 30 feet out of a third-floor window in West Seattle, police and fire officials said.

One boy was 2 years old, and the other boy was 1. They were rushed to Harborview Medical Center, where they remained in serious condition.

They fell out of the window of a townhouse in the 6500 block of 34th Avenue SW.

Fire Department officials on the scene weren't able to say how little boys fell from the window or who was home with the children at the time.

A family member was escorted to the hospital later to be with the boys.
