Police: deadly rollover crash in Burien, driver in custody

BURIEN - King County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a fatal rollover crash in Burien that happened around 2 a.m.Friday morning.

Police said that a car was traveling on Ambaum Boulevard SW when the driver apparently lost control and hit a barrier at SW 119th Street.

The male driver of the car reportedly fled the crash scene, Sgt Stan Seo with King County Sheriff's office told Q13 FOX News.

The male passenger in the car was pronounced dead at the scene, Seo said.

King County Sheriff's helicopter and K 9 units were able to located the driver hiding under a nearby pickup truck, Seo tweeted.

Police have shut down Ambaum Boulevard SW between SW 116th St to SW 120th St for the crash investigation.

The King County Medical Examiner's Office will release the name of the passenger.

The driver will be booked into the King County jail later today.
