SKYWAY — A 21-year-old man was shot multiple times during an altercation between two groups outside Ezell’s chicken restaurant Wednesday night, the King County Sheriff’s Office said.

The victim was rushed to Harborville Medical Center, but he died of his injuries, authorities said.

Sheriff’s Sgt. Stan Seo said they received a report of shots fired at 68th and Renton Avenue South at about 8:11 p.m. Wednesday.  Deputies found a 21-year-old man on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds and people trying to aid him, Seo said.

The sheriff’s office said later that there was a fight between two groups that escalated, a gun was pulled and shots were fired.

Suspects fled northbound in a vehicle, Seo said, but deputies didn’t have a good description.
