Deadly freeway drive-by: Troopers looking for witness to shooting that killed two people on I-5

SKAGIT COUNTY -- The Washington State Patrol is looking for witnesses to a deadly shooting that killed two people on I-5 in Mount Vernon. It happened around 3am on Saturday, July 18th. Troopers say the driver and front-seat passenger of a car were shot and killed by the driver of a dark-colored King Cab truck with Washington State license plates.

"If they were in the area and they remember any vehicle that matches the description, where they came onto the freeway, where they exited the freeway. If they've heard anything talking about it. If they've heard anybody say something that actually seems to know a little bit about the situation. We want to talk to that person as well," says Washington State Patrol Lt. Randy Hullinger. Troopers say they especially need any information on a suspect and the families of the two victims need justice.
