Woman found in car in Northgate parking garage committed suicide, medical examiner says

SEATTLE -- The death of a woman who was found in a car in a parking garage near Northgate Mall has been ruled a suicide, the medical examiner's office said.

Seattle police investigated it as a possible homicide when Ellen G. Hu's body was found Wednesday night.

The medical examiner's office said the 51-year-old died from a cut to her neck.

Officers were called to a parking garage in the 300 block of NE 103rd Street at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday when firefighters discovered the woman unresponsive inside a car. Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators collected evidence.
