Police investigating apparent homicide in parking garage in Northgate area



SEATTLE -- Seattle police said a woman was found dead Wednesday night in a car in a public garage near the Regal Cinemas and Northgate Mall. Police called it an apparent homicide.

"Officers were called to a parking garage 300 block of NE 103rd St. at 7:30 tonight when Seattle Firefighters discovered an adult female unresponsive inside a car," the Seattle Police Department said.

"Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators are on scene where they are currently collecting evidence and canvassing for witnesses," the department said.

Police patrols were increased in the area during the investigation, police said.

The King County Medical Examiner's Office will identify the victim and determine a cause of death.
