Police investigate 'suspicious fire' at espresso stand after window found smashed

LACEY - Police and fire officials are investigating a suspicious fire at an espresso stand Monday morning.

A Lacey PD sergeant confirmed to Q13 FOX News that a fire was reported just after 4 a.m. at Bonjourno Brew, in the 4900 block of Lacey Boulevard SE.

A worker at a convenience store across the street heard an alarm and saw flames from the espresso stand, police said.

The Lacey fire department responded and put out the fire; there was no one working at the stand at the time of the fire and there were no injuries, police said.

A police K 9 conducted a search for a possible suspect but did not locate anyone, Lacey PD said. A Q13 FOX news crew saw that someone had smashed a large window at the stand and there appeared to be fire damage inside.

Lacey fire investigators and police will continue to investigate the cause of the fire and damage estimate to the business.
