3 people found dead inside SW Washington home, deputies say

HAZEL DELL, Wash. -- A Clark County sheriff's officer says two women and one man have been found fatally shot in a home in the southwest Washington community of Hazel Dell, apparently in a double homicide-suicide.

Sgt. Alex Schoening says a female caller phoned 911 Tuesday afternoon to say a man had killed the two women, then killed himself.

According to KPTV, deputies were initially called at 3:43 p.m. Tuesday to a disturbance with a weapon in the 2600 block of NE 98th Street in Vancouver.

Sheriff's officers responded and found several witnesses leaving the house. Schoening says detectives are interviewing those witnesses.

The three people described in the phone call were dead inside the house with apparent gunshot wounds. They were not immediately identified.

Schoening described all three of the dead as being "affiliated with the residence" but could not immediately provide details.

There was no word on a motive.

He says there are no reports of anyone else being injured.

Major crimes and tactical detectives from the Clark County Sheriff's Office remained at the scene Tuesday evening.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
