Pilot walks away after light plane crashes at Renton airport

RENTON, Wash. (AP) — A fire official says the pilot of a small plane that crashed at the airport in the south Seattle suburb of Renton was not seriously hurt.

The pilot was alone in the aircraft Thursday afternoon.

The Seattle Times reports that Renton Deputy Fire Chief Erik Wallgren says the pilot's injuries included scrapes and abrasions.

Wallgren says firefighters cleaned up the wreckage and spilled fuel.
