Fire rips through two homes in South Kitsap County

PORT ORCHARD, Wash. — At least two homes burned Monday afternoon in the Port Orchard area.

Flames could be seen shooting out of the homes, and smoke was visible across the Parkview Terrace area.

The fire was under control by 3:00 p.m.

Extra firefighters were called in from home to battle the flames, following the busy 4th of July weekend.

Officials are still working to determine the cause of the fire. No further information has been released.
