Everett police seek to identify man accused of raping 14-year-old girl

EVERETT, Wash. -- Everett police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man accused of attacking a 14-year-old girl.

Police say he picked up the victim on May 1st in a dark-colored car with leather interior near the intersection of Broadway Ave and Everett Avenue before raping her. He dropped the girl off around 4:30 a.m. at the Motel Express at 2301 Broadway Ave.

The teen saw a large amount of cash in the sunglasses compartment and noticed he had an Android cell phone with a red case. He is about 6’0 and 180 pounds.

“What stands about this male is that he told our victim that his parents were from Jamaica and he spoke with a Jamaican accent,” said Officer Aaron Snell with Everett Police.

The suspect claimed to be 20-years-old and that his birthday is January 21. He had a soul patch and wore several bracelets as well as a Seattle Mariners baseball cap.

If you know his name, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. All calls are anonymous and there is a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to his arrest.
