Accused rapist on the run: Everett police seek to identify man accused of preying on 14-year-old girl

WANTED IN EVERETT -- Everett police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man accused of attacking a 14-year-old girl. Police say he picked up the victim on May 1st in a dark-colored car with leather interior near the intersection of Broadway Ave and Everett Avenue before raping her. He dropped the girl off around 4:30 a.m. at the Motel Express at 2301 Broadway Ave. The teen saw a large amount of cash in the sunglasses compartment and noticed he had an Android cell phone with a red case. He is about 6’0 and 180 pounds. The suspect claimed to be 20-years-old and that his birthday is January 21. He had a soul patch and wore several bracelets as well as a Seattle Mariners baseball cap. “What stands about this male is that he told our victim that his parents were from Jamaica and he spoke with a Jamaican accent,” said Everett Police Officer Aaron Snell. "We think the public can help us in the case because the area that he picked her up in was the downtown area, early morning hours and he dropped her off in the 2300 block of Broadway that is also a well-populated area, even at that time of day, so we believe that someone probably saw something and we would like the public's help."
