Pregnant teenager shot in stomach while waiting at bus stop

SEATTLE - A pregnant teenager was shot in the stomach while she was waiting at a bus stop in South Seattle, police said. The teen was shot around 1:40 a.m. Friday at the stop on Rainier Avenue South near South Rose Street.

Police told Q13FOX News that multiple shots were fired from across the street and the teenager was hit at least once. Seattle Fire Department medics transported the girl to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.

The condition of her unborn child was not immediately known.

Seattle Police and a canine unit attempted to track suspects who fled from the scene. Gang and Homicide detective are involved in the police investigation.
