This story has gone from bizarre to ridiculous.

Famed tabloid talk-show host Maury Povich is "actively" trying to book former NAACP leader Rachel Dolezal to undergo a paternity test on his show, TMZ reports.

According to TMZ, "Maury" executive producer Paul Faulhaber is actively trying to book Dolezal and her parents. He intends to give all three a DNA test, and reveal the results on his show

Dolezal resigned as president of a local branch of the NAACP after her parents said she was a white woman who for years has posed as African-American.  Dolezal has previously claimed that she has doubts that Larry and Ruthanne Dolezal are her biological parents.

Maury is famous for his paternity test shows and his catch phrase, "you are/are not the father." Though he is on hiatus from the show now, TMZ reports, he would quickly return to film what is sure to be one of the most top rated episodes ever.

No word on if Dolezal has fielded Maury's offer.

"Maury" is broadcast on Q13 FOX every weekday between 3 and 4 p.m.
